What struck me right away was how the staff seemed to actually know what they were doing, which honestly isn’t always a given in Miami hotels. The four-star property sits right in the heart of Brickell’s financial district, and you can feel that energy the moment you step inside.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about staying in Brickell — you’re basically in Miami’s Manhattan, and EAST Miami Residences puts you right in the thick of it. The address on Brickell Plaza means you’re walking distance to some seriously good restaurants and bars, plus the Metromover stops are right there if you want to hop over to downtown proper. Couples seem to really get this location (I can see why they rated it 8.3), because you’ve got that urban sophistication thing going on, but Biscayne Bay is literally right there when you want to remember you’re in tropical Miami.

The Accommodations

The rooms feel more like upscale apartments than typical hotel spaces — which makes sense given the “Residences” part of the name. You get proper living areas with floor-to-ceiling windows that show off either the bay or the city skyline, depending on which way you’re facing. The kitchenettes are actually functional (not just for show), and the bathrooms have that spa-like feel without being over the top. I mean, when you’re paying four-star prices in Brickell, you expect a certain level of finish, and they deliver on that front.

Dining & Amenities

Breakfast here gives you options — they do both continental and buffet style, which is smart because some mornings you want to grab and go, other times you want to sit and actually eat like a human being. The fact that they have private parking is honestly a huge deal in this part of Miami; you don’t realize how much of a headache parking can be until you’re circling Brickell looking for a spot. The rooftop area is where things get interesting though — the views over the bay are pretty spectacular, especially around sunset.

What really works about EAST Miami Residences is that it gets the balance right between being in the action and having a place to actually relax. Recent guests have been rating the location almost a 9 out of 10, and I get it — you’re close enough to walk to work if you’re doing business in Brickell, but you can also easily get to South Beach or Wynwood when you want to play tourist. It’s that rare Miami hotel where you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it, which is probably exactly what they were going for with the whole “residences” concept.
